Curriculog Training Materials

The following training materials are available from Curriculog. To access these materials, sign in with an existing Google account or select the "New to Curriculum Support?" option to sign up for an account.

The Curriculog End User Manual provides all necessary information on the general functionality of the system. Please contact curriculum@niu.edu for specific questions regarding the NIU process.

The below links are helpful videos to assist you on your curricular journey:

"Cancel" indicates your decision was to request that the administrator allow you to cancel the proposal and potentially delete it. This may be due to a proposal being created in error, such as the incorrect approval process being selected. Once the administrator has approved it, you may choose to delete the proposal. This is the only way you can delete a proposal after it has been launched.

How to Request to Hold or Suspend a Proposal

"Hold" indicates your decision was to request that the administrator place the proposal on hold, and the administrator has approved it. Now that the proposal is on a status of "hold", you may continue to work on the proposal without worry that the deadline will automatically advance it to the next step. The proposal will stay on hold until the administrator manually lifts the hold status.

"Suspend" indicates your decision was to request that the administrator place the proposal on suspend, and the administrator has approved it. Now that the proposal is on a status of "suspend", the proposal will be removed from the workflow and nobody will be able to work on it. The proposal will stay on suspend until the administrator manually lifts the suspended status.

How to Request a Custom Route a Proposal

A "Custom Route" is an additional ad hoc step outside the steps in the approval process. The administrator will allow you to invite additional users or committees into a workflow for additional feedback. This is helpful if you feel specific chairs/reviewing bodies should be looped into the process for a specific proposal.

Custom Routing is comparatively complicated, and it is advised to review page 32 of the user manual and reach out to curriculum@niu.edu for more information.
