Jan Wylde
Jan Wylde is an Employer Relations Specialist for Career Services. Wylde helps employers promote their job openings to NIU students and alumni through the use of the Victor-eRecruiting database and job fairs. In her reception capacity, she fields walk-in questions from both students and employers needing assistance using the database. Ms. Wylde brings a background in customer service and sales for manufacturing and distribution businesses to her work with the employers interviewing on campus.
Prior to her work at NIU, Wylde worked in the custom packaging industry and also worked for a jewelry distributor, where she supervised eight customer service representatives and was part of the hiring team for that department. In her production office duties for a contract furniture manufacturer, she was also responsible for recommending interview candidates to the plant manager. In her current position, she assists employers in posting jobs, and assists students as they apply for jobs and internships through Victor-eRecruiting and move through the interview process.
