Assistant Professor – Writing Studies

Department of English, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Conducting university courses for undergraduate and graduate students in writing studies, including courses in Advanced Essay Composition and Topics in Rhetoric; teaching the courses within the prescribed curriculum; preparing and delivering lectures to students; compiling, administering and grading examinations; posting grades, course syllabi, and other materials; advising students on academic curricula; serving on faculty committees as assigned by the University; and completing research in the writing studies field.

  • Salary: $70,000 to $80,000/year.
  • Requirements: Doctorate Degree (PhD) or foreign degree equivalent in Writing Studies, English, Second Language Teaching or related.
  • Special Requirements: Pre-employment background check and verification of eligibility to work in US required. EOE/AA
