Physical Activity and Life Skills (PALS) Group
One of the most effective ways to promote youth development and positive social change is through sport and other physical activity. The Physical Activity and Life Skills (PALS) Group is dedicated to training teachers to use social and emotional learning (SEL) in physical education. We work directly with local middle and high school students, as well as with organizations around the world.
Our programs and projects provide opportunities for NIU students to gain experience working with youth in a variety of settings. Students from any major are welcome to join us, though most are in degree programs in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education.
