The Burma Collections at Northern Illinois University have quadrupled since their inception in 1986, most recently with a bequest from the private collection of Jerry Paul Bennett. Among more than 10,000 items relating to Burma, extensive bibliographic holdings are conserved in the Southeast Asia and Special Collections of Founders Memorial Library and are available free of charge through interlibrary loan. An impressive map collection may be viewed in the Davis Hall Map Library. The Burma Art Collection, including numerous items from the Konrad and Sarah Bekker Collection, is located in the NIU Art Museum, where selections from the permanent collection are exhibited on a continuing basis.
