Study Abroad Photo Contest Rules and Instructions

Any student who has participated in an NIU study abroad program is eligible to enter the photo contest!

Here are the details:

  1. Go to the NIU Study Abroad Photo Contest Snapfish group room and upload your three favorite photos. Make sure the title of your album is your name, and in the description of your album put the program you participated in, and the date (example Media & Culture in Ireland, Summer 2009). DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 1. You may e-mail the photos to niuabroad@niu.edu, or bring them in to the office on a flash drive or CD if you prefer not to create a Snapfish account. The Study Abroad Office staff reserves the right to remove any photos it deems inappropriate for any reason.
  2. Please include captions so we can identify what is in the photo! You can do this on Snapfish, in your e-mail, use them as your file names, or send us a separate Word file.
  3. The Study Abroad Office staff will print these photos and create a slide show to display at our Study Abroad Fair.
  4. People visiting the Snapfish group room and attending the Fair will vote on your photos, and the three with the largest number of comments and votes will be chosen as the winners! We will notify you by e-mail if you have won, so you can come in and pick up your prize.
  5. All photos become property of the NIU Study Abroad Office; by entering the contest, you agree that we may use your photos on our web site, print advertising, flyers, posters, handouts, PowerPoint presentations, or any other use we deem appropriate. The Study Abroad Office will identify the person who submitted any photo when it is used.
