Susie Richard is a Senior, Political Science major, with a minor in Marketing. She holds high academic standards especially because she is a member of the University Honors program here at NIU. She believes that it is important to instill in all students minds just how important academics really are, and how regarding academic success can be. As the Director of Academic Affairs, Susie sits on many University committees in order to ensure that the student’s voice is being heard about any academic changes that may arise. She sits on the University Council and the Admissions Policies and Academic Standards Committee. While sitting on these committees Susie is able to hear about new polices and any changes that may arise to the academic spectrum of the university. Her main goal for the position is to make students feel as though their voices are being heard on campus when it comes to any changes that are being made. She believes that it is important that she act as the liaison between all administrators and the students in order to better serve the NIU community as a director for the Student Association.
