Hello, my name Paul Julion and I am a senior Physical Education major here at Northern Illinois University. I am from the southwest area of Chicago and graduated from Hubbard High School. This year I will serve again as the Director of Athletics and Recreation for the 2013-2014 academic school year. I got involved with Student Association my freshman year during the second semester as a Senator for District 2. I then again served in the Senate my sophomore year in District 2 and as a Member of the Mass Transit Board.

As Director the of Athletics and Recreation for the 2012-2013 Academic school year I,

v  Assisted Athletics with first football game to Iowa (Huskies Invade Soldier Field)

v  Free tailgating for students at all home football games

v  Assisted with the senior night for all NIU senior student  Huskies

v  Provided 200 Hot Dogs at both men’s baseball and women’s softball games against Western Michigan

v  Help create an I Will Bystander intervention Video for NIU Health Enhancement


v  Assisted Campus Recreation with an external review

v  Assisted the Campus Recreation Sport Clubs Budget process

v  Traveled with Campus Recreation administration staffs to the following universities: UIC, UICU, and OSU to meet with recreational staff about our plans for renovation, expansion, or creating a health and wellness center.

v  Helped manage the Student Athletic Fee of 4.9 Million Dollars (51% of total Budget)


Besides being in the Student Association, I am a part of many organizations: Black Male Initiative, Kinesiology and Physical Education Club, Succeed and Success Plan(S-Plan), Mary F. English Technology scholar and Teaching Assistant for KNPE 340 Motor Development Lab. I also am the Assistant District Director for my fraternity ΑΦΑ.
