OSP's chat session for January will be held on Wednesday, January 19, from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. in Holmes Student Center, Heritage Room. This session will walk through the requirements for obtaining a NIU grant account number before the sponsored project award process is complete. This process is informally referred to "as setting up a contingency account" though a separate account is really not created. We will demystify terms such as advance account, pre-award spending and break in budget period and explain why they are necessary.
