The LGBT Resource Center offers programs and services in the following areas:
The Resource Center offers support for individuals experiencing a concern or need related to sexual orientation and gender identity.
We also provide support indirectly by educating the NIU community as a way of creating a supportive campus environment.
The Resource Center provides educational materials and programs on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender life and culture. Programs include speakers, panel discussions, workshops, theatrical performances, films and much more.
The Resource Center encourages student leadership around LGBT topics, particularly through our Quest Leadership Program.
The Resource Center is a resource for anyone who has experienced discrimination or harassment on campus due to sexual orientation or gender identity. We also advocate for inclusive campus programs, services and policies.
