2009
- March 1, 2009 - NIU Priority FAFSA Application Date
- May 15, 2009 - State of Illinois MAP Grant deadline
- Deadline dates are dependent upon funding and are subject to change. You are encouraged to apply by the March 1 priority deadline for full consideration.
- July 1, 2009 - Direct PLUS Application processing begins
- August 5, 2009 - Last day to process Summer 2009 financial aid
- August 24, 2009 - Fall 2009 classes begin
- September 4, 2009 - Fall 2009 Add/Drop period ends
- September 14, 2009 - Last day to process 2008-2009 financial aid
- December 1, 2009 - Last day to process Stafford Loans (for a one semester loan)
2010
- January 11, 2010 - Spring 2010 classes begin
- January 22, 2010 - Spring 2010 Add/Drop period ends
- March 1, 2010 - NIU Priority FAFSA Application Date
- April 26, 2010 - Last day to process Stafford Loans (for a two semester loan)
- June 30, 2010 - The final date to complete the FAFSA for the 2009-2010 academic year.
- July 26, 2010 - Last day to process Stafford Loans (for a summer semester loan)
