Students needing assistance with personal concerns or crisis situations can walk-in for a consultation appointment with a CSDC counselor. You do not need to call to schedule an appointment before you come; just come to the Counseling & Student Development Center in Campus Life Building 200.
CSDC walk-in hours are from 11:00-3:30, Monday-Friday.
After completing 20-30 minutes of paperwork, you will meet with a member of our staff for approximately 40 minutes to discuss your concerns and decide on a course of action that best meets your needs. The entire walk-in process usually takes at least 1 hour so please plan accordingly. Also note that during busy periods you may have to wait to see an an available walk-in counselor, but every effort will be made to meet with you in a timely manner.
During the walk-in appointment, you and the counselor may decide on one or more of the following options:
Individual counseling at CSDC
A referral to a CSDC therapy group
A referral for a CSDC eating disorder assessment, substance use assessment, or anger intervention
