Weekend Trips 

Ski/Snowboard Trip at Granite Peak / Wausau, WI

Are you eager to hit the slopes for some great carving or terrain? Grab your friends and sign up for a weekend getaway to Granite Peak at Rib Mountain State Park, one of the top rated ski and snowboard areas of the Midwest. Granite Peak boasts almost 75 runs and 7 lifts on a 700 foot mountain face. Click here to find out more about this amazing destination! Backpacking at Kettle Moraine State Forest / Eagle, WI

Looking for a weekend getaway this spring? Join us for a backpacking trip to the Kettle Moraine State Forest in Wisconsin. This area is known for miles of scenic trails throughout central and southern Wisconsin. Early springtime in this area makes for great views of the changing season! Included in the registration fee is transportation, leadership, all meals, backpacking and camping gear.

Trip Level 2 – Average physical conditioning is necessary, some experience and technical knowledge is required.

Weekend Camp & Canoe Wisconsin River / Spring Green, WI

Flowing gently throughout the glacial plains of central Wisconsin is the Wisconsin River, one of the best canoeing rivers in the Midwest! This is the perfect trip for those who want to enjoy the last warm days of summer with two leisurely days of canoeing, evening camping along the beachy sandbars lining the river, and amazing views of wildlife and natural forests.

Included in the registration fee is:

  • Lesson on the basics of paddling in a canoe

Camp & Cave at Maquoketa Caves State Park / Maquoketa, IA

Discoveries of artifacts such as pottery and tools found in the caves of Maquoketa Caves State Park make it clear that this has been a popular spot for hundreds of years, and we want in! Join us on an exciting and thrilling weekend-trip to Maquoketa Caves State Park and find out for yourself what it’s like to walk and crawl within the rugged bluffs of Iowa. Trails throughout the park link several caves, overlooks, and formations offering an exciting hiking experience as well.

Intro to Backpacking at Mississippi Palisades State Park / Savanna, IL

Do you scroll through Instagram wishing you could be the one to climb mountains, survive in nature, or live adventurously? Well now’s your chance to get started early and learn the basics to backpacking. Outdoor Adventures offers extended backpacking trips during the summer, but before making the big commitment, join us at the beautiful Mississippi Palisades State Park for a full weekend of backpacking instruction! Learn the basics or practice your skills in backcountry-style camping and cooking, trail navigation, and Leave No Trace.

Included in the registration fee is:
