The Division of International Programs (IP) provides a variety of services for students and personnel at Northern Illinois University.
The Division Office deals with international agreements with foreign universities. The Executive Director is the official liaison for Fulbright grants for students and faculty at NIU.
The Study Abroad Office (SAO) works with NIU and non-NIU students wishing to participate in a study abroad program. Programs are available for the winter break, summer session, academic or semester periods.
The International Student & Faculty Office (ISFO) works with all international students and scholars while they are at NIU. ISFO provides the most up-to-date information on immigration rules, SEVIS, Curricular Practical Training (CPT), or Optional Practical Training (OPT).
The International Training Office (ITO) works with foreign businesses and universities in order to facilitate programs for international visitors to NIU. ITO will custom fit a program to your specific needs.
