Here are the most frequently asked questions we receive at the Hotel at Holmes. If you have a question we don't cover here, please give us a call at 815-753-1444.
What time is check-in and check-out?
You may check-in after 4:00pm daily. Checkout is by 11:00am.
Please contact us at 815-753-1444 if you have a need for an early check-in or a late checkout. We will try to accommodate your request.
Where can I park?
Parking is complimentary for hotel guests. When you arrive, you may park in the temporary hotel parking spots in the bus turn around area off Lucinda on the west side of Holmes Student Center. These hotel spots have a 30-minute limit, which allow you to check in at the front desk and drop off your luggage.
When you check in, we will give you a parking pass to display from your rear view mirror. The parking pass is valid in the visitor pay lot just south of the Holmes Student Center or in the NIU Parking Deck. If you would like us to mail you a parking pass, please call us at 815-753-1444.
What is your cancellation policy?
You must call at least 48 hours prior to arrival to cancel a reservation without penalty. If you do not call within this time period or do not call at all to cancel the reservation, your credit card will be charged a cancellation fee equal to the first night's room and tax.
Is there a charge for wireless internet access?
No. Wifi access is free for guests on NIU's campus, including the Hotel at Holmes.
