We offer a variety of activities and events to help you learn, have fun and build relationships with people who share similar interests.

Meal Prep Program

Our meal preparation program gives students the chance to use some of the fresh produce grown in Anderson Market Garden. You’ll learn meal prep techniques as you make nutritious meals to eat later in the week. This program is offered in partnership with NIU’s nutrition and dietetics programs and will take place in the nutrition kitchens on the third floor of Wirtz Hall.

• Vermiculture (coming this fall from DeKalb County Community Gardens)
• Stateline Farm Beginnings Program (coming this fall and winter from Angelic Organics)

Annual Fundraising Dinner
Held September 28, 2023

The Evening With Chef Bryan Fundraising Event was held in the Barsema Alumni Center courtyard and resulted in 108 tickets being sold to faculty, staff and community members which generated $5400 to be split between the Huskie Food Pantry and Edible Campus. More than 25 NIU students were able to attend with donated tickets. Highlights of the evening included a menu using product from our Edible Campus along with information for participants about the Huskie Food Pantry and new Huskie Harvest program.
