Elizabeth Garcia (she/her/hers)

I have worked at Counseling and Consultation Services since 2005 and I am proud to be a part of the Huskie family! I enjoy meeting with students and hearing about how they want to grow during their time at NIU.

College can be tough, and support can be so important to being the person we went to become. Symptoms of depression and anxiety are common and relationships during this transition can be challenging. As a single parent, I understand the stress that comes with balancing responsibilities especially if they are new and unfamiliar.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and relaxing with my dog and I am a big fan of Netflix!
