What is Coaching for Academic Success?

Coaching for Academic Success is a program of the Counseling & Student Development Center that provides assistance with the general study skills students need in a variety of subject areas in order to be academically successful. Students can call 753-1206 to request a free individual study skills consultation.

During the consultation and follow-up appointments, a trained staff member will help each student with textbook reading, time management, test preparation, and note-taking as needed. Coaching for Academic Success is not a subject-specific tutoring service, but we can refer you to tutoring services at NIU if needed.
