Want to be in NIU Photos and Videos? We Need You!

Hey Huskies! We need your help!  The Enrollment Management, Marketing and Communications Division (EMMC) produces dozens of videos and thousands of photos each year for use both within and outside of the Huskie community. This includes printed materials, social media and Web content, as well as videos promoting classes, programs and activities. If you love the camera and would enjoy helping your school, we need you! The EMMC team is forming a diverse group of students we could tap regularly to appear in these videos and photos throughout the year. It’s easy, will take just a little of your time and we promise you a Huskie t-shirt each time you participate. Interested? Give us just a bit of your information on this form and we’ll contact you in plenty of time to make it work for your schedule.

Football game day parking lot closures.

Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, NIU is hosting a home football game that will impact parking. The following parking lots will be closed beginning midnight Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, and will reopen one hour after the football game ends:

  • Lot PS, southwest of Stevenson Towers.
  • Lots L and K, southeast of the stadium.
  • Lots H and 35, west of Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center.
  • Stadium Drives North, East, South and West.

Vehicles left in these lots without an NIU Football Game Day Parking pass may be relocated at the owner’s expense.

Students and faculty/staff who usually park in these areas are asked to seek alternative, legal parking solutions during this time frame. To determine whether this will impact you, please review the map so that you can plan accordingly.

Tip from a Huskie

"Getting involved in various student organizations is the best way to meet new people. The biggest mistake you can make is to never get involved or to only get involved in clubs that relate to your major. I have met several of my closest friends through organizations that have nothing to do with the classes I take."

Ask the professor: “How can I stay focused on my work when I have other tasks that need attention?
