IntelliBrain-Bot

The IntelliBrain-Bot is an educational mobile robot designed and developed by RidgeSoft. This has an aluminum chassis with two motors mounted on the underside of the chassis that drive two large wheels. A ball tail wheel supports the back end of the robot. The robotics controller, sensors, motors, tail wheel and battery holder are mounted directly on the chassis. Sensors and motors connect to the controller board via input and output ports.

The human interface features include an LCD screen, push buttons, thumbwheel, buzzer and LEDs. The sensors include wheel encoders, line sensors, infrared range sensors and ultrasonic range sensors. In addition to these, a camera has been incorporated to provide a live video of the environment around the mobile robot.

The mobile robot is connected with a PC via a Bluetooth system for two-way data communication. A graphical user interface (GUI) has been developed using National Instruments' LabVIEW. The GUI is used as a controlling and monitoring panel for the mobile robot. The GUI can be posted as a web page and accessed over the internet for controlling the mobile robot.
