Anatomy Lab


The NIU Anatomy Lab is located in Anderson Hall. Students have the opportunity to dissect human cadavers and learn about prosecuted human bodies. NIU offers an M.S. degree with a specialization in human anatomical sciences. Upon completion of this degree, the student will be qualified to teach human anatomy and/or physiology in a community college setting. In addition, the student will also be qualified to perform human cadaver dissection and teach a dissection-oriented human anatomy course.

In addition to training graduate students in human anatomical sciences, the cadaver lab also offers a high school short-course to students from area high schools.
