X‐Ray Facility
The departmental x‐ray facility houses two x‐ray instruments, a Rigaku Miniflex Powder Diffractometer and a Bruker CCD Single Crystal Diffractometer.
- The Rigaku Miniflex Powder X‐Ray Diffractometer utilizes Cu Kα radiation with a fixed receiving slit 0.3 mm. The instrument is supported also by Jade Search and Match software and JCDD PDF‐II database.
- The Bruker CCD X‐Ray Diffractometer utilizes monochromated Mo Kα radiation. Data collection at low temperature is supported by a liquid nitrogen device.
For access to the X‐ray instruments and user training, please contact Professor Chong Zheng. The facility also offers X‐ray diffraction as a service.
