We are inviting applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure track promotable faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor appointed in the Audiology program.
We’re seeking a faculty member who has a research focus in acoustics and amplification or a specialty area that will broaden the scope and disciplines of the current faculty. The audiology program is part of the School of Allied Health and Communicative Disorders where collaboration among faculty will provide opportunities for research and co-treatment in a shared clinical space with speech-language pathologists and physical therapists.
NIU is preparing to bolster the current audiology program by growing the faculty team and expanding interdisciplinary studies in a new Health Technology Center that’s planned for campus. The ideal candidate is prepared to lead the next generation of audiologists and contribute to the growth of the audiology profession by pursuing excellence and innovation.
Join the faculty at NIU to contribute to a caring, committed, and collaborative professional environment that focuses on promoting excellence and engagement in teaching, learning, research and scholarship, outreach and service.
