Hi Huskie!
Today: Take your pick of jobs on campus!
The Huskies get Hired NIU Job Fair is TODAY, Sept. 8, until 3 p.m. in the Holmes Student Center's Capitol Room. Apply for jobs in several departments, get interviewed – and maybe even get a job offer right on the spot.
To speed up the hiring process, please bring identification with you to the job fair:
Can't make it today? You can apply to hundreds of Huskies Get Hired positions online!
Don't miss the Campus Meets Community Block Party 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 9. Just drop by the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commons for an introduction to the local businesses and nonprofits throughout the DeKalb region.
Sample food from the community, find a local organization to volunteer or partner with for a class project, watch skateboarding demonstrations and enjoy an interactive pop-up exhibit from NIU and DeKalb's Belonging initiative.
The block party is also your opportunity to obtain a free COVID-19 vaccine from the DeKalb County Health Department, if you have still not fulfilled this critical requirement for all Huskies.
Join NIU's commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks with various programs Friday and Saturday, Sept. 10 and 11. View a flag display, attend a "reflections" panel and ceremony, and take part in a moment of silence as we honor those lost that day.
As always, you can reach me and my team in Student Affairs by replying this email, or contact the Center for Student Assistance anytime at 815-753-8300 or studentassistance@niu.edu.
Sincerely,
Charles J. Fey, Ed.D. This message has been approved for distribution by the appropriate NIU party and is distributed by the Division of Enrollment Management, Marketing and Communications. NIU Mass Email Policy.
