Hi Huskie!
I want you to know as we approach the semester’s end that our teams at NIU are rallying behind you. We always say Huskies never quit — and we’ll also never stop supporting you.
Here are some ways to finish strong this fall and plan ahead for a successful spring:
- Keep going to class, reserve a study room at the Holmes Student Center or Founders Memorial Library, and reach out for help from the Huskie Academic Support Center.
- Unwind around finals week with our last Night at Holmes of the semester on Friday, Dec. 3, and enjoy a Late Night Breakfast on Monday, Dec. 6 as you study for exams.
- Follow mandates to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and records of all other required immunizations in order to continue with your studies in the spring term.
- If you haven’t already, meet with your advisor, make sure you don’t have any holds on your account and register for spring classes so you’re ready for next semester.
- Graduating in December? Set up an appointment with Career Services for personal advising, help updating your resume and LinkedIn profile, or even a mock interview!
- Take time for fun and enter your artwork “Celebrating a Community of Belonging” into President Lisa Freeman’s contest to design NIU’s annual holiday card by Sunday, Dec. 5.
- Please remember to Protect the Pack and stay safe as we observe Thanksgiving break next week, especially if you’ll be visiting with family and friends or traveling away from home.
It’s never too late to reach out for help from NIU’s Center for Student Assistance — just call 815-753-8300, email studentassistance@niu.edu or reply to this message with any concern.
Go Huskies!
