Delivery Fees

Any event outside of Holmes Student Center must meet a $200 minimum. A 10% delivery fee will also be assessed. Catering orders from internal NIU departments will have the delivery fee waived.

To-Go Platters, Qdoba, and Einstein Bros. catering orders do not require a minimum. A $25 delivery fee will be added. No charge for pick-up.

Booking An Event

Events must be booked 15 business days prior to the event date. A guaranteed guest count must be finalized six (6) business days prior to the events. A 20% surcharge will be applied if the guaranteed guest count increases within six (6) business days of the event.

All events that catering services are needed, are required to use Campus Dining Services when held within the Holmes Student Center, Barsema Alumni and Visitor Center, Altgeld Ballroom, and Altgeld Board Room. No outside food will be allowed.

Clients must arrange for tables for any on-campus event held outside of the Holmes Student Center, Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center, Altgeld Ballroom, and Altgeld Board Room.

Minimum Guest Requirements

Catering events, excluding breakfast, that do not meet the minimum required guest count will be charged a $50 fee. All events under 25 guests can be serviced through Einstein Bros. catering.

  • Buffet meals require 25 guests.
  • Served meals require 50 guests.

Breakfast events require 25 guests.
