Programs and Events
The Center for Nonprofit and NGO Studies offers training, workshops and other events meant to inform and strengthen the Northern Illinois nonprofit community, including students and nonprofit professionals. These events present information crucial to the sector, stimulate thought and conversation around current topics, invite innovation in capacity-building, and offer space for curiosity, dialogue and networking.
Webinars
Webinars are professional development opportunities for nonprofit staff and board members which are held virtually over Zoom. Each webinar is $25 or $22 for nonprofit partner members. This webinar series is a collaboration between the center and Giving DuPage, the DuPage County Volunteer Center whose mission is to promote giving and volunteering countywide.

Networking Events
Each fall and spring the center, in collaboration with the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership, hosts a networking opportunity for current students, alumni and nonprofit professionals.
The events are low-key, high-energy events in which our current undergraduate students can practice crucial networking and social conversation skills. At the same time, alumni get to reconnect with each other and our nonprofit partners are able to network with potential interns while at the same time connecting with former interns/alumni. The networking events are fun, win-win events for everyone!
Research Colloquia
Each year, the Center brings academic researchers to campus (or online) to broaden our understanding of civic engagement and the nonprofit/NGO sector.
