Supervisor Sessions

Supervisor sessions are a monthly professional development series designed by HRS to ensure that all supervisors have a solid understanding of best practices and tools to engage with their employees. The format for these meetings was revamped beginning with the 2023-24 academic year. 

2023-24 - Strategic Communications for Leaders

• A Manager’s Guide to Corrective Action for Civil Service Employees (PPTX): The training will cover the need-to-know step-by-step procedures for corrective action, common challenges, and do’s and don’ts. The main focus is on civil service unionized employees but will also cover practical tips for handling non-union civil service employees. Always consult with HRS when considering corrective action for any employee.

Invitations are sent out every month, for upcoming Supervisor Sessions, to the supervisors of record managed in the PeopleSoft system. If a supervisor of record desire that other stakeholders be included in the session, they are invited to forward the calendar invite to those persons.
