The Center for Latino and Latin American Studies (CLLAS) seeks nominations and self-nominations from students to serve as student ambassadors.

Student ambassadors will meet each semester to:

• Share their voices and ask questions about LATS courses and center programming
• Share their experiences and provide feedback on ways we can improve the LATS minor and programming
• Help plan academic and cultural events
• Help organize promotional and outreach activities

Meeting Hours

Meetings will be held on Wednesdays from 3-4 p.m. in the Latino Center Library.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in the LATS minor
• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
• Represent CLLAS at various events and activities:
  • Open houses and other recruitment events
  • Monthly visits to local high schools to participate in mentoring activities
  • Engagement with the Latinx Living/Learning Community
