The Academy for Urban School Leadership(AUSL)

The Academy for Urban School Leadership (AUSL) is looking for NIU students interested in teaching in Chicago Public Schools (CPS). Over the last two years we hired 8 Huskies. We'd love to hire more!

Immediate openings for licensed special education, early childhood, primary, intermediate, middle school, and high school teachers. Whether students interested in teaching full-time second semester or next school year, we'd like to meet them.

We are hosting information sessions at AUSL this month. We encourage student teachers, seniors, and December graduates to attend the upcoming events. Students will have an opportunity to tour a school and learn more about our organization, our immediate vacancies, and our interview and selection process. Information sessions will be held at Chalmers School of Excellence, 2745 W. Roosevelt Road, Chicago, IL 60608 on Thursdays from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, October 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. Students can register here, or see the attached flyer for more details.

If students can’t come to us, we’ll come to them. We're happy to host information sessions on campus and/or meet with students in class. In the coming days, we’ll follow up with you to explore dates in which we can visit.

We hope to see you soon!
