The Academic Portfolio: A New and Innovative Approach to Documenting Faculty Performance
Presented by:
J. Elizabeth Miller, Ph.D.
Associate Professor, Family and Child Studies
School of Family, Consumer, and Nutrition Sciences
The traditional approach to evaluating and developing faculty performance has been to focus on the "what," but not the "why." The academic portfolio is an innovative and highly promising way to get at the individuality and complexity of faculty work in teaching, research, and service. The presentation will describe the what, why, and how to develop an academic portfolio and will provide proven advice for getting started.
