The Office of Research Development (ORD) is pleased to present the NIU internal competition for the Illinois Arts Council Creative Projects Grant. The Illinois Arts Council will only accept one institutional proposal submitted from NIU for this grant opportunity.
The Creative Projects Grant (CPG) supports a single arts project by an artist or organization. "In order to manage the time between responsibilities of school, work, friends and family, I create a structured schedule. With my schedule, I strive to get work done ahead of time so that I am not drowning in work later down the line. I don't go home often because of how far away I live, but getting work done early also takes the stress off of visits."

"I would urge students to be curious, to immerse themselves in the opportunities that a university provides. Be open to learning new things and following the interests that develop from those experiences."
