Military and Veteran Services

Military and Veteran Services is located in Campus Life Building room 160. The office serves all veteran, active duty, people of the National Guard and their families.

Enrollment Certifications

You must submit completed forms for enrollment certifications and unofficial transcripts reports (MYNIU) each semester indicating which benefits you want us to apply. Enrollment forms must be turned in a week before the start of a semester to avoid late fees being added to your NIU account.

Announcements

• Celebrating our grads: see photo album of our spring 2024 graduates.
• Military and Veterans Services is proud to announce the creation of a new scholarship for Veterans. We are most grateful to NIU alum Robert Eickhoff for working with the NIU Alumni Association so we are able to offer this new opportunity. The scholarship application process will close on Nov. 30.
• Military and Veteran student success coaching is now available.
• Students are now able to send a copy of their Joint Services Transcript to Registration and Records to have it evaluated for college credit.
