Central Stores

Central Stores is responsible for the selling of items to the university for use by campus departments. Central Stores responsibilities include:

  • Selling office supplies to university departments
  • Selling commodities for Building and Food Services
  • Maintaining open orders with vendors for non-stock office supply items
  • Storing several forms, pamphlets, booklets and envelopes used by departments
  • Holding and Destroying Finance, Facilities, and Operations archives

Campus Standard for Personal Heaters:

Central Stores carries a radiant heater that is the campus standard for personal heaters. These heaters are low energy heaters and are safe when accidentally left on. This is the only personal heater that is available through Central Stores.

FY15 Year End Ordering/Billing Information

Central Stores operations will be closed for fiscal year-end inventory Monday, June 29, 2015 through Tuesday, June 30, 2015.

In order to provide you an opportunity to review your supply needs and place orders prior to the close of the fiscal year, the following deadlines and procedures have been established.

To charge purchases to FY 15 funds, orders for non-stock items must be submitted to our office no later than Friday, June 19, 2015. Credit requests for all non-stock items must also be submitted to our office by June 19, 2015.

To charge purchases to FY 15 funds, orders for items carried in stock must be submitted to our office no later than Friday, June 26, 2015. Credit requests for all stock items must also be submitted to our office by June 26, 2015.

Orders received by the above deadlines will be processed and billed by June 30, 2015. Orders submitted after the above deadlines will be held until Wednesday, July 1, 2015 for processing and billing against FY 16 funds.

Before placing your final order for FY 15, please be certain your department has sufficient funds available for the type of supplies requested.
