Going to class helps you:
|
- Retain more than you would learning by yourself
- Show your professor that class is important to you
- Maximize your investment in your education
- Receive extra points for good attendance (given by some teachers)
- Avoid missing a pop quiz or falling behind

On-campus traffic and parking to be impacted by boiler delivery and installation.
|
The West Heating Plant will be receiving and installing new boilers during the beginning of spring semester.
The delivery and installation process will require Stadium Drive East to be closed between Lincoln Drive North and Lucinda Avenue on Thursday, Jan. 9 and from Monday, Jan.13 through Friday, Jan. 17. Stadium Drive East will reopen to traffic once the installation is complete. The sidewalk along the road will also be closed during these periods.
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to plan accordingly for disruptions to parking and transportation during this time.

"College is a defining moment in your life. It is an experience that defines who you will become, whether you are 18 or 48. One thing that my college experience at NIU taught me is to never forget to ask for help or support. In addition to a world-class education, college taught me the value of the relationships you make and maintain — they truly can make the difference."
