Consultation and Presentations

Professor Demaray is also available to consult with schools, school districts and professionals in the region. Consultation is used to help teachers and other individuals within the school setting learn more about academic and behavioral difficulties and create goals to overcome those difficulties. PREPARE: School Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training Curriculum

Professor Michelle Demaray is also a PREPARE curriculum core trainer and expert on crisis intervention. Schools play a large role in the aftermath of a crisis, not only for the students, but for others in the community. The PREPARE curriculum was develop by the National Association of School Psychologists in order to prepare schools for times of crisis and provide evidence based resources and consultation to schools on the topic of crisis prevention and emergency response. The goal of PREPARE is to improve and strengthen school safety and train school personnel on how to create safety and crisis teams to appropriately respond in crisis situations. The PREPARE curriculum helps all individuals in the training gain a comprehensive understanding of the roles and responsibilities of crisis intervention teams and gain the knowledge and skills to successfully respond to the aftermath of a crisis.
