Pick Museum of Anthropology

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

In keeping with NIU's safety precautions against the spread of COVID-19, the Pick Museum's gallery will remain closed for the remainder of the academic year.  The museum will reopen fall 2020.

As the university continues to monitor the situation, we will keep you informed on any changes to our operating schedule. We thank you for your understanding at this time as we all work together to keep our campus and local communities safe.

The museum serves as a teaching museum for the university, providing opportunities for students and faculty to conduct collections research, co-curate exhibitions and enrich curriculum with object-based learning. Special exhibitions promote cultural awareness and solidarity in support of global social justice. Programs and events invite campus and community audiences to explore human and cultural diversity with the museum.

Experience all the museum has to offer! Drop in for a visit, schedule a tour or attend a special event. Researchers are also welcome to schedule a special collections visit.

We look forward to seeing you at the Pick!
