Volunteer to Support Week of Welcome!
|
Week of Welcome is quickly approaching, and it’s time to start preparing to welcome new students to campus. This year's Week of Welcome (Wednesday, Aug. 21 to Sunday, Aug. 25) offers targeted programming for incoming first-year students to experience campus as a large cohort approximately a week before the start of fall classes. This exclusive experience is focused on enhancing their connection to our campus community and ensuring that students are adequately prepared to start the fall semester.
Staff and faculty can support new students in finding their place on campus and within our NIU community by volunteering at WOW events. In addition to the highlighted events below, a full schedule of WOW events for incoming students can be viewed in our NIU Week of Welcome Guidebook. The Guidebook app can be downloaded on both Apple and Android devices. WOW events available to all students can be viewed on the WOW feed on our NIU Calendar. Please sign up to volunteer by Friday, Aug. 16, 2024.
