Eyes on the prize: Course evaluations are now open.

It’s that time of the semester — course evaluations for 16-week classes are open. Keep an eye on your inbox for an email from BlueEvaluations@niu.edu with all the details.

Pro tip: Want to boost your response rates? Set aside class time for students to complete their evaluations — it's a win-win! Starting in April, you’ll be able to track response rates, so stay tuned and help us make every evaluation count.

For additional information about Blue Evaluations, please visit our website.

Changes to the Long-term, Off-campus Use of Equipment Form coming soon

The long-term, off-campus use of equipment form is transitioning from OnBase to PeopleSoft April 21, 2025. Current approved forms will be transferred to PeopleSoft April 21, 2025. Any OnBase forms that are pending approval will be transferred to PeopleSoft once they are approved. This form will be very similar to the current OnBase form. The form will be available through the Human Resource System. Benefits of moving to the PeopleSoft solution include:

  • The custodian for the asset will automatically populate with the equipment borrower’s ID within the financial management system.
  • The asset tag number field has a list of valid tag numbers, and the asset description and sector/location are automatically populated.
  • Alternative approvers can be designated.
  • Responsible officers can close a form once an asset has been returned.
  • Responsible officers can easily search for forms with the financial management system’s asset tracking.

It is important that records on the use of NIU property at off-campus locations be maintained to support an efficient annual inventory process as required by the state.  More information and detailed instructions will be available on the Property Control website soon.

Join us at the Wellness Fair.
