The Interpersonal Evaluation and Measurement Lab (IEML) conducts research to understand the judgments people make of each other when they are in evaluative or stressful social situations. Current work focuses on experiences during evaluative work situations (e.g., job interviews) and identity management among individuals with stigmatized characteristics (e.g., disability). Our work examines how effortfully managing impressions in evaluative situations might interfere with workplace social relationships, productivity, and health.
