Lucinda Roundabout Construction On Schedule

The City of DeKalb project to convert the Lucinda Avenue and Normal Road intersection to a roundabout remains on schedule after almost 10 weeks of work. Sidewalks and curbs continue to be framed and poured, and crews are also working on the island, medians and sidewalks.

REMINDER: Crews are using cords to set specific perimeter heights for their curb machines. NIU staff should NOT walk across any parts of the construction site and should NOT lift those cords to get to their destination.

The project is planned to be completed in August prior to students arriving and the beginning of classes. Learn more about the project and its progress by visiting the NIU Construction and Project Update website: go.niu.edu/campus-project-updates.
