Welcome to the online module on Environmental Management Systems (EMS). EMS is a continuous approach for planning, implementing, reviewing and improving the processes and actions that an organization undertakes to meet its purpose and environmental goals.
This module was developed with the support of an Environmental Education Grant awarded by the Environmental Protection Agency to the Faculty Development and Instructional Design Center at Northern Illinois University for 2003-2004 to introduce EMS concepts to school teachers.
The module contains content, quizzes, games and exercises and is best viewed with java-enabled Internet Explorer browser. The games require Macromedia Flash Player. It is highly recommended that the games are played in Internet Explorer 6.0 and above, and please make sure to disable popup blockers.
