More opportunities to help with updated Huskies Give Back program.

A recent update to the Huskies Give Back volunteer program now allows full-time employees to use volunteer hours that occurred outside regular work hours as part of the benefit. That means you can volunteer in the evening or on a weekend and can make arrangements with their supervisor to apply the volunteer leave time off as comp time or as flexible scheduling during the work week. Learn more about the Huskies Give Back program.

NIU to host CPS Young Men of Color Summit.

The Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Young Men of Color Summit will be hosted by NIU at the Holmes Student Center on Feb. 17 from 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. The 10th Annual CPS Young Men of Color Summit will welcome up to 600 young male-identifying students in grades 9 through 12. • Power to join with others to uplift their communities.

Students will participate in interactive workshops and have the opportunity to engage with representatives from colleges/universities, branches of the military, workforce development and community based organizations in our on-site resource fair.
