AnywhereApps remote access now requires VPN.
Students who access virtual applications from off campus now must sign in to NIU’s virtual private network (VPN) prior to connecting to CITRIX AnywhereApps.
Faculty who use any of the virtual applications available through AnywhereApps are asked to share this notice with their students. Students who access the applications from on campus will not need to use the VPN. Questions? Contact the DoIT ServiceDesk at ServiceDesk@niu.edu.
Upcoming bridge repairs to impact campus traffic.
The City of DeKalb will be repairing two bridges in the community that will impact traffic flow to and on campus. The bridges located on Lucinda Ave and First Street will begin being repaired on March 1 and construction is expected to end in August. Interested in improving your physical and mental health?
Professors Beth Moxley (nursing) and Shaine Henert (kinesiology) are conducting a study on the effects of physical activity on the well-being of sedentary adults. They are actively recruiting individuals between 40 to 60 years of age currently exercising less than 30 minutes three days per week, with no major health problems or physical activity restrictions, to participate in a four-week individualized physical activity program. Eligible participants will also receive HbA1c analysis, fitness assessment, and $50 upon study completion. Participants must be able to complete three visits to the NIU Exercise Physiology Lab and wear an activity tracker on their wrist. Financial Month End Close
The month of February is closing for all financial reporting activity at noon Thursday, March 9, 2023. Journals not posted at that time will go into March business. Submit February journals before end of business Wednesday, March 8. Final February reports are scheduled to be available Friday, March 10, 2023. In addition, March reports are scheduled to be available Monday, March 13, 2023. These and other important dates can be found at the Controller's Office website.
