PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES CENTER

Purpose
The Psychological Services Center has three purposes: 1) to provide high quality mental health resources to people of northern Illinois; 2) to prepare graduate students in professional practice; and 3) to provide opportunities for research on empirically supported treatment outcomes.

Services 
We offer a full range of outpatient psychological services. The services include evaluations in the form of psychological testing and diagnostic interviews. We also offer a variety of psychotherapies, including individual, couple, family, and group therapy; parent education; and play-based therapy for children. We offer relaxation training, biofeedback, and other methods for controlling stress and physical pain. People use our services for depression, anxiety, problems in relationships, anger, children's behavior problems at home and school, developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, marital conflict, low self-esteem, and other psychiatric disorders and problems in living.
