PSYC 547 Psychological Intervention with Children and Their Families

Examination of the concepts and techniques relating to clinical psychological intervention with children and their families. Emphasis on theoretical, ethical, and practical issues as well as on the psychological research on the efficacy of each therapeutic modality. Topics cover the major techniques of child-oriented psychotherapy, with attention given to their appropriateness for children of various ages and levels of functioning and with various forms of psychopathology. PRQ: PSYC 543 and PSYC 544, or consent of department. 3 credit hours
