Professional Background

A sociologist, teacher and Organization Development Specialist by training, Jim brings extensive experience to NIU -- as a former secondary teacher and department chair, a national travel industry senior executive in operations, process and staff development, quality consultant, and academic, technical and management development training,  After providing consulting services to job seekers in resume services, database and website design, Jim fled retirement to join the University legal staff in 2005.  Jim is member and a past Director and member of several commissions with the 501c3 not-for-profit, The Saints: Volunteers for the Performing Arts located in Chicago.
