Carolyn Guido (instructor) is currently the acting and dance teacher for Viva Performing Arts School in Dixon, Illinois, a grant-based organization with the goal of the bringing the arts to rural Illinois. Under Viva, she has directed four plays with actors ranging in age from 9 to adult. She has choreographer the Junior and Senior high musicals and also teaches theatre workshops. She received her bachelor’s degree in theatre studies from NIU in 2011. She studied playwriting and acting theory at Kingston University in London. She was a member of the Delta Festival Ballet Company during her teenage years and has trained in classical ballet, tap, jazz, and musical theatre dance. She has worked at the NIU theatre camps for several years as a counselor and musical director.
