Regional Credit Courses

Regional Credit Courses

The College of Visual and Performing Arts offers graduate and undergraduate classes both on-line and at regional sites in the suburbs, Rockford, and Chicago. Studio art, art education, art history, and music theory classes are offered on an occasional basis in fall, spring, and summer, and occasionally, in a shorter format during the intersession in May and June.

Classes are taught by NIU faculty in formats and at times and places for the convenience of working adults. Most classes are for three semester hours of credit and are taught at the 300, 400, 500, or 600 levels.

Information about regional art classes is available on line several months before each semester, but occasionally classes are scheduled close to the start of the semester. It is a good idea to check our website, the Regional Course Finder, and the Registration and Records website regularly.
