Choral Clinics

High school choirs and treble choirs perform on the Concert Hall stage. Each group is critiqued by both the guest clinician and an NIU faculty clinician. A highlight of both events is a performance by one of the NIU choirs.

Choir Day

For all choirs.

Celebrate the choral arts! Choir Day brings high school choirs together to hear and be heard by fellow choir members, directors, and NIU faculty members Eric Johnson and Mary Lynn Doherty. The guest clinician is R. Paul Crabb, Director of Choral Activities at the University of Missouri.

Cost: $185 per school. Limited to 12 schools.

Women's Chorus Day - canceled for 2013

March 6, 2013, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
For treble choirs.

Women’s Chorus Day brings treble choirs together to address the unique characteristics and expressive potential of the high school women’s chorus. Choir members gain an appreciation for the important contribution these ensembles make to choral music. Groups will be critiqued by NIU faculty Eric Johnson and Mary Lynn Doherty. The guest clinician is Michael Ross, Artistic Director, Madison Youth Choirs.

Cost: $185 per school. Limited to 12 schools.
